Styx Corporation

STYX The Company is a women-led, multicultural nonprofit that blends contemporary dance, theater, and multimedia storytelling to connect with diverse audiences across South Florida. Founded by professional movers with backgrounds in dance, engineering, behavioral science, and set design, we break conventional boundaries and make movement-based performance more accessible to under-represented communities. 

Our company regularly performs from Homestead to Palm Beach, offering open rehearsals, free and discounted performances, and workshops for students and senior communities. We prioritize inclusivity - our dancers represent a wide range of cultures, and our programming is informed by audience feedback, post-show discussions, and community partnerships. 

We recently launched an initiative to provide transportation for underserved residents to attend our performances, combatting social isolation. Looking ahead we aim to further expand our artistic reach, mentor emerging artists, and build lasting infrastructure that makes the arts more available and resonant across generations.
