N.E. Love Empower, Inc. was founded on the belief that education transforms lives, bridging gaps in STEM, literacy, creative outlets, and classroom resources for underserved communities. Through years of working directly with students and educators, we saw firsthand the gaps in access, especially in underserved communities. Confidence is the real curriculum. 

But we also saw something else. We saw learners who had the ability but not the belief, and educators who wanted to do more. However, they lacked the resources to get there. That is what drives us.

We created N.E. Love Empower to bridge those gaps through hands-on STEM programs, academic support, literacy enrichment, arts integration, and professional development that equip both students and educators with the tools they need to succeed.

WHAT WE DO!

Our work focuses on building confidence. We focus on strengthening skills and creating opportunities that go far beyond the classroom and into every area of life. Science is all around us. We're Miami-based, and today we deliver hands-on and virtual programming across Miami-Dade and Broward counties, with virtual programming reaching families statewide.

Looking ahead, we're working to bring this same hands-on model to literacy, math, and teacher education. We want to grow our footprint across Miami and into Homestead and Florida City. We would also like to launch a year-round Virtual Science Tutoring program in Middle School Science, Biology, and Chemistry. This will allow students across South Florida to get the chance to build that confidence for themselves, in every subject, not just science.

WHY IT MATTERS

Just 49% of Florida 8th graders scored proficient on the 2025 Statewide Science Assessment, essentially a coin flip on whether a student is on grade level in science. (Florida Department of Education, 2025 Science & Social Studies Statewide Assessment Results)

Only 55% of Florida 5th graders met that same proficiency bar in 2025, meaning nearly half of the state's elementary students aren't yet on grade level in science. (Florida Department of Education, 2025 Science & Social Studies Statewide Assessment Results)

Every STEM Empower session already reaches about 40 students and family members, and we're expanding into Homestead and Florida City with plans to reach 150 more K-12 students and families there. The gap is right here in Florida. The fix starts local.

WHY YOUR GIFT MATTERS

As a newly formed 501(c)(3), this Give Miami Day is one of our first major community fundraising moments. Your gift helps fund hands-on lab materials and safety equipment, take-home STEM kits aligned to Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards and NGSS, and sliding-scale seats in Virtual EMPOWER tutoring for families who can't pay full price.
