I am a survivor of abuse who chose to become a vigilante for the people who stand beside me in Miami’s dance floors and neighborhood spaces. If you can see me you can be me, a survivor. At night I am a go‑go dancer and nightlife host, connected to my community in the places where we are most honest and emotional, the party scene. I dance for my freedom and to remind you of yours.

During the week I work with UHP to secure resources, reduce harm, and make sure my neighbors can get the support they need. Your gift helps convert what we feel together into concrete action: resource connections, safer spaces, and community power.

This campaign is a collaboration between me, Jefferson Miami, and Urban Health Partnerships (UHP)

At UHP, we help Miami‑Dade residents access the resources, relationships, and information that keep us healthy. We design and scale community‑led solutions with partners across neighborhoods, from the Community Liaisons (CL) Framework and InCommUNITY outreach to the Age‑Friendly Initiative.

In 2024-2025 I trained three Community Liaisons, led the collection of more than 300 community surveys, crafted a community needs assessment, and began building community resource tools and data analysis structures to better support LGBTQ marginalized communities.

Why your gift matters:

Flexible, unrestricted dollars on Give Miami Day let me and my colleagues at UHP place funds where they are needed most. Your support helps us:

  • Advance InCommUNITY outreach and research so we can share our knowledge, reduce barriers to HIV prevention and care, and strengthen networks that support LGBTQ and marginalized communities.
  • Train and support Community Liaisons to do high‑quality outreach, data collection, stakeholder mapping, and resource connection.
  • Expand the Age‑Friendly Initiative (including the Library Certification Program) so older adults in our county can access age‑friendly spaces and services.
  • Establish rapid‑response capacity through our partners for emerging needs identified by our neighbors and partners.
