Help UHP continue its work with residents, governments & organizations to make sure we all have access to opportunities to be healthy. Corporate & Organizational Giving Opportunities available, reach out to us to learn more!
Support our Community Liaison (CL) Framework! CLs are residents who are hired onto project teams working to advance policies, programs & environmental changes that improve the health and quality of life of those most in need. This concept is a tested model for citizen-centered engagement in government & community.
Your Donations Help To:
●Expand & strengthen our CL Framework through increased training opportunities for residents and providing more opportunities for CLs to provide leadership within community-wide health equity initiatives.
●Create a train-the-trainer model to teach other organizations and government agencies to adopt the innovative CL Framework to ensure residents are integrated throughout decision-making & are building community power.
●Increase our advocacy around the issues that matter to our communities
●Provide training and support to local organizations in incorporating health and equity in their practices and programs to better serve communities with the highest needs.
We work toward real, community-driven change:
● The right to grow up & live in a safe and healthy place. Creating safer & more accessible streets & open spaces for everyone to be active & socially connected through initiatives like our Activate Overtown & Get Moving Miami Gardens projects.
● The right to healthy food. Ensuring residents can access affordable healthy foods within half a mile of where they live & work through our Community Health Hub & Go for Healthy Growth projects.
● The right to grow old with dignity & enjoyment. Building systems where people of all ages can live, work & play through our work with the Miami-Dade Age-Friendly Initiative & Partnerships for Healthy Aging in Place.
●The right to live in an equitable community.
Urban Health Partnerships' (UHP) mission is to invest in our communities by co-designing sustainable change and promoting equity and well-being across the life span.
