Loretta Thompson - Alliance Parent

This year, I decided to be a Champion for The Alliance for LGBTQ Youth for their Give Miami Day fundraiser — the first time I’ve ever done anything like this — because this organization truly touches my heart. If it weren’t for The Alliance, my son and my family wouldn’t be where we are today. I love my son dearly, and The Alliance was essential in his growth and development — helping him feel comfortable in his own skin, understand who he is, and build confidence as a trans male. They connected us with caring therapy and medical experts who provided the guidance and support he needed to thrive. They also linked us to positive, affirming resources that helped our whole family understand and support him better. Even in our most stressful and critical moments, they showed up for us — offering compassion, encouragement, and even assistance with rent when times were tough. I’m proud to support their mission and hope you’ll join me in giving back to an organization that makes such a powerful difference for LGBTQ youth and their families.
