As a student of the Southwood Middle School Orchestra Magnet Program, I would really appreciate your donation to help our booster club can replace some badly broken string instruments.
After years of use and travel, some of our instruments have irreparable damage: holes, dents, cracked necks and deep scratches. We depend on these instruments in the classroom, to practice at home and to perform on stage in front of audiences. Sometimes even students like me who have an instrument need to borrow one in class. Right now, that is not possible because there are not enough working instruments for everyone.
Each instrument costs about $2,000 to replace with a high-quality one. The quality of our instruments affects how we sound and makes a difference on stage and in competitions. Your Give Miami Day donation will help us get closer to our goal of replacing every broken instrument with a high-quality one.
We work hard to be the best student musicians in Florida. This year, we have a record number of students representing us at All-State competitions. Please help us stay No. 1!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING MY SCHOOL ORCHESTRA!
