Kindness Is a Skill. We Teach It.
Every child deserves the skills to navigate big emotions, build healthy relationships, resolve conflict, and respond to others with empathy and compassion.
But kindness is more than telling a child to "be kind." These are skills that have to be taught, practiced, and reinforced.
That is what Kindness Matters does.
Through school and community programming, Kindness Matters combines neuroscience, emotional regulation, and social emotional learning to teach practical skills that help students understand their emotions, manage stress, build healthy relationships, communicate, resolve conflict, and practice empathy and compassion.
The impact is already happening.
In FY2025–2026, Kindness Matters reached:
- 9,000+ students
- 450+ educators trained
- 25+ Kindness Clubs
And among educators surveyed, 92% said the training deepened their understanding of how kindness supports student mental health, while 85% reported increased understanding of social emotional learning and its role in the classroom.
