I’ve been part of the ROXY family for over a decade now, but it still amazes me how deeply this place has shaped every part of who I am. I first walked through ROXY’s doors in 2014 as a student, unsure of what my voice in the world might be. What I found was a community that believed in me long before I learned to believe in myself.

As I grew, ROXY grew with me. I became a volunteer, then a staff member, and eventually someone who now gets to help others discover what I once did: that art isn’t just something you do, it’s something that transforms you. ROXY is where I learned not only how to perform, but how to lead, collaborate, and trust my own creativity. Every rehearsal, every class, every show helped me become a stronger professional, a more confident performer, and a better person.

I’ve seen firsthand how an arts education can change a child’s life, because mine was changed here. ROXY gave me mentors who guided me, peers who challenged me, and a community that uplifted me. It gave me a home.

That’s why this fundraiser means so much to me. Supporting ROXY means giving the next generation the same chance I had to discover their voice, their confidence, and their potential through the arts.
