My name is Alex, a doctoral student at the University of Miami.
I started volunteering with Urban Paradise Guild (UPG) when I was nine, planting mangroves and reforesting native hammocks. These early experiences shaped me into the person I am today. Now, I’m proud to serve as UPG’s volunteer Director of Science, supporting efforts to study our conservation projects throughout Miami.
I’m fundraising for UPG because I believe in community-led environmental restoration that improves everyone’s quality of life.
