"When we consider action in the face of uncertainty, we have to ask ourselves three questions: why must we act, how can we act, and what must we learn to do." Marshall Ganz

$$$upport Norma as she continues to build out Leadership Development Curriculum and Political Education Programs, like the Circle of Consciousness, alongside working class member leaders of the Miami Worker's Center.

There is no doubt that we find ourselves in alarming and uncertain times. Every day we're witnessing and living through an increasingly bizarre timeline and every day we plunge further towards authoratianism, fascism and greater economic crisis. However, this is not our only possible future and it is not guaranteed.

At the Miami Workers Center, we fundamentally believe that developing our members’ organizing skills, political clarity, and capacity as leaders and agents of change is essential to building substantial community power. Your donation directly invests in that growth, contributing towards essential community-led trainings, meetings, and actions that prepare members to advance lasting change in our communities.

Our sessions blend innovation with purpose and utilize popular education methods that encourage each participant to contribute their own insight and experience, using tools from our giant Jeopardy board to room-sized collaborative timelines that bring together our collective history and knowledge. Each activity strengthens our members’ understanding of movement building while keeping the work grounded, serious, and impactful.

Make a donation so that we can continue to sustain and expand a space for working class people, from across cultures and generations, to come together as both teachers and students, to develop our collective consciousness and understanding of our role as political subjects capable of making change alongside our communities and fighting for a Miami Dade that works for all of us and our families.

“A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” Lao Tzu

"Hope is a discipline and we have to practice it every single day." Mariame Kaba
