FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY is building something extraordinary, a first-of-its-kind academic and cultural center for the world that is dedicated to the Cuban story, a story rich with history and culture. FIU CasaCuba at the Benjamín León Jr. Building will be more than a new landmark; it will be a living tribute to heritage, resilience, and hope, allowing visitors to gather, exchange ideas, and find inspiration.

This 43,000-square-foot destination at the entrance of FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus will celebrate Cuban identity through academic programming, interactive galleries, event spaces, and rare historical collections, while advancing scholarship in Cuban studies, diaspora studies, and cross-cultural research.
