The work continues. The Frances Peake Unity360 Community Fund was established to honor Francie’s deep commitment to the necessary work of antiracism and social justice.
In 2015, Francie joined her dear friend, Roni Bennett, Executive Director of SFPOC, as one of the founders of South Florida People of Color.
Unity360 for the past decade has provided transformative forums for people of different races, ethnicities and religions to come together and candidly discuss America’s legacy of systemic discrimination. Attendees are educated through films, readings and workshops; Awkward Dinners which bring together people from diverse backgrounds to break bread and share experiences; community tours of historic Black and Latino neighborhoods; and Black History Month.
The work of Unity360 is more important than ever in these times of polarized politics and amplified misunderstanding. Join us in being the change.
