Getting Pitch-Ready empowers Latina entrepreneurs through action-driven learning.         Participant ́s growth in both technical and soft skills demonstrates the program's effectiveness in bridging gaps in traditional business training.

By offering bilingual, culturally relevant support—including coaching, mentorship, and hands-on application—we've created a powerful foundation for success.

The program combined bilingual coaching, intergenerational mentorship, pitch training, and strategic networking opportunities.

Key Goals:

  • Strengthen pitch development and presentation skills
  • Increase access to funding, visibility, and business networks
  • Foster intergenerational learning and mentorship
  • Reduce social isolation through a supportive cohort

Venprendedoras, a Miami-based nonprofit, supports over 850 Latina entrepreneurs annually and has cultivated a community of more than 15,000. GPR aligns with our mission to uplift women facing compounded barriers, especially those over 40, recent immigrants, and non-English speakers.

PROGRAM STRATEGY & METHODOLOGY

  • Selection of participants across various ages and business stages, all with active ventures and a commitment to growth
  • Onboarding/networking session and distribution of program guides
  • Two-day immersion: four 3-hour sessions with coaches, mentors, and intergenerational learning pods
  • One-on-one mentoring sessions (finance and pitching)
  • Virtual group meetings to encourage peer feedback and collaboration
  • Final public showcase with judges and invited partners

Program success was measured using pre- and post-surveys, pitch evaluations, and participant interviews. Success indicators included improvements in key skill areas, cohort engagement, and final pitch quality. Participants remain connected and continue supporting each other through a dedicated WhatsApp group.

IMPACT SUMMARY

Participants reported significant growth in clarity, confidence, and community. The final pitch showcase, attended by funders and stakeholders, demonstrated remarkable transformation: those who started the program unsure and hesitant delivered strong, fundable pitches.
