Venprendedoras Foundation Inc

Venprendedoras is a Miami-based nonprofit that empowers Venezuelan and Hispanic women entrepreneurs, by providing them with the visibility, connections and support they need to thrive in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.  We believe that every woman, regardless of her origin, age, ethnicity, or accent, deserves equal access to resources and opportunities to succeed in her business endeavors. Working with local organizations and through access to information, learning opportunities, and networking activities, we strive to bridge the gap for first generation Hispanic migrant women entrepreneurs. 

At Venprendedoras, we are dedicated to paving the way for a more diverse and inclusive entrepreneurial community in Greater Miami.

54% of Miami-Dade population are foreign-born individuals. 18.1% are recent arrivals (5 years or less) and 35.5% have limited English proficiency (latest Census Data). According to the 2020 State of Latino Entrepreneurship report, in the US, Latina women comprise 40% of all Latino business owners and 62% of those are between 40 and 59 years old. It takes years of work for women to build a business. Recent migrants over the age of 40 do not have this luxury. 

Venprendedoras is focused on supporting Miami-Dade's foreign-born Hispanic women entrepreneurs, with an emphasis on those over 40 years old, as well as recent arrivals. We aim to create an engaged community by offering visibility and opportunities for learning and connection. 

Over the past three years we have built a strong community with over 12K followers on Instagram, while actively listening to their needs. We have conducted surveys, hosted 22 online workshops, 5 sales bazaars and 12 in-person events. All these efforts have positioned us strongly to build effective solutions to address the challenges that we have identified.

Our outreach efforts include social media and traditional media, partnerships and word-of-mouth. 

Our programming includes:

1. Entrepreneurship programs (we run Focus Mujeres Emprendedoras as implementing partner for Cisneros)
2. Digital Skills Workshops
3. Networking Sessions
4. Sales Bazar and monthly events, such talks, social gatherings, monthly newsletters and regular info alerts.
5. With your generous support in 2024 we´ll launch the Venprendedoras Pitch-Ready Program to prepare first-generation Hispanic women entrepreneurs to pitch a market-ready solution. Our goal is to enhance their business acumen and communication skills, equipping them with the confidence and expertise needed for successful pitching and fundraising.

First generation Hispanic women entrepreneurs are a vital economic force in our city, but they face barriers in accessing resources. Your support will bridge this gap, empowering these women to grow their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to their communities.
