The work continues. The Francie Peake Unity360 Community Fund was established to honor Francie’s belief in racial healing.

In 2015, Francie joined her dear friend, Roni Bennett - Executive Director of SFPOC, as one of the founders of Miami Shores People of Color which grew and evolved into South Florida People of Color. To quote Francie, “You have opportunities to contribute to a more just and equitable society.”

Unity360 for almost a decade has provided transformative forums for blacks, whites and Latins to come together and openly discuss implied bias, systemic racism and white privilege. Its programs include Race Dialogues where attendees are educated through films, readings and workshops; Awkward Dinners which bring together people from diverse backgrounds to break bread and share experiences; community tours of historic Black and Latino neighborhoods; and Black History Month, a series of grassroots events that highlight the racial truths of America’s past and present.

The mission of Unity360 is more important than ever in these times of polarized politics and amplified misunderstandings. Your gift will help this critical work continue and carry on Francie’s legacy of optimism and compassion.
