Hi everyone! My name is Olga Tomasello, and I’m a Community Health Manager with Urban Health Partnerships (UHP). My role is to connect people and organizations, because I know the power for real change comes from collective action.
Challenges in our community like access to care, food insecurity, transportation, and social isolation are complex. No single organization can solve them alone. The most effective change happens when resources and knowledge are combined, making every effort go further. That’s what “collective impact” means: residents, community-based organizations, health providers, and local leaders joining forces to tackle the bigger issues that shape community health and well-being.
This framework guides our work at UHP every day, and the initiatives that I work on: the Miami-Dade Age-Friendly Initiative, which works to make the county more livable for people of all ages, and In CommUNITY, which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ Miami-Dade residents. Our efforts focus on building partnerships and collaboration, and working side by side with residents to shape the solutions that matter most to them.
And that’s why your support matters. Together, we can keep building healthier, stronger communities.
