As a passista (samba dancer) in Miamibloco, each step becomes Miami’s heartbeat. Dancing in front of the bateria, I channel their energy and spirit, inviting everyone to join—no matter who they are. Through the language of samba dance, we build a space where joy flows, cultures connect, and everyone feels seen. To dance is to welcome; each movement is a celebration, a bridge, and a reminder that we’re creating Miami’s living history together, with joy and movement at the center.
