Mission

Florida Health Justice Project engages in comprehensive advocacy to expand health care access and promote health equity for vulnerable and marginalized Floridians.

Florida Health Justice Project uses all the tools in the advocate's toolbox: legislative and administrative advocacy, storytelling, litigation, research and analysis, outreach and education, and technical assistance to other advocates. With this multi-pronged approach we are able to elevate the public dialogue around access to healthcare and work toward systemic solutions, while raising the voices of those directly impacted.

By giving today, you help make the following happen:

Advocacy:

We provide non-partisan research and policy advocacy focusing on laws that impact health care access for low income and uninsured Floridians. We also engage in litigation to enforce health care rights.

Outreach & Education:

We provide outreach and education on critical programs that impact access and outcomes, including Medicaid. Along with educational materials for advocates and consumers, we provide written analysis and presentations explaining the impact of state and federal health care policies and proposals on Florida's communities, health care providers, and low-income residents.

Technical Assistance & Support:

We provide Advocate's Guides and training, and we are available to work with legal services staff and other advocates interested in developing the knowledge and skill set needed to identify and address individual and systemic barriers to health care.

Powerful Storytelling:

We elevate the stories of Floridians facing health access barriers. This turns wonky policy issues into urgent, real life narratives.
