At Splashy Hendrix Book Club Corporation, we are on a mission to disrupt and ultimately dismantle the preschool-to-prison pipeline by transforming lives through the power of literacy. Research reveals a devastating truth: when a male student of color fails to read proficiently by the third grade, society begins preparing a prison bed instead of a pathway to higher education or meaningful employment. At Splashy Hendrix, we refuse to accept that outcome. We exist to rewrite that story—one reader, one family, one community at a time.
