Healthy Mind Heart and Body, Inc. Empowers Underserved Communities for Lifelong Health. We are proud to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to this cause. Through outreach efforts, our Purpose is to provide Community Education and Training. We believe that knowledge is power. We educate and train our community about health disparities, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their well-being. We provide healthcare access through training and education, and provide resources to shape opportunities and improve access to better healthcare. These efforts ensure that no one is left behind due to financial constraints or lack of information. We are committed to promoting and supporting healthy lifestyles for families. Our goal is to create a culture of wellness that extends across generations.
Over the years, our impact has made a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Our annual events, such as the Back to School Health and Safety Fair, are a testament to our dedication. On July 19, 2025, we hosted the 14th Annual Back to School Health and Safety Fair at Charles Hadley Park, bringing the community together. We distributed over 600 backpacks filled with school supplies and hosted 55 local agency vendors promoting a Healthy lifestyle and access to healthcare. This included, but was not limited to free child wellness physicals, vaccinations for all ages, Vision, hearing, and dental exams, EKG testing for all children five (5) years old and above, CPR demonstrations and training, free meals, and a delightful kid zone with activities like a bounce house, and a petting zoo. To expand our outreach efforts, this activity was replicated in the South Dade areas of Florida City and Homestead. The event was well-attended and beneficial to the community.
In addition to these events, we also provide education to our senior population. i.e, mental health, heart disease, diabetes, fraud prevention, elderly abuse, and caregiving resources. We host health and resource fairs for seniors, featuring over 40 vendors that provide information on all the services seniors need to live independently in the community.
To expand our reach, we have adopted a K-8th-grade public charter school that provides instruction in oral health, personal hygiene, hand-washing techniques, hair care, nutrition, and grooming. Our goal is to collaborate with other schools and community stakeholders to deliver these services to youths and communities throughout Miami-Dade County.
Our President Angelique Lambert-Dawkins, Secretary Mamie Walker, Treasurer Gail Meeks, and Director Sonja Christmas.
