HEALTHY COMMUNITIES START WITH ACCESS

Healthy Mind Heart and Body, Inc. empowers underserved communities throughout Miami-Dade County with the knowledge, resources, and assessment of individual needs to build a healthier lifestyle. Through community health and resource fairs, youth education, senior programs, and partnerships with local organizations, we help remove barriers that can prevent individuals and families from accessing essential health information and services.

Our impact reaches across generations.

Our work reaches all communities. Seniors received the resources they need to remain healthy and independent. K-8 students receive education on lifelong habits around nutrition, hygiene, oral health, and personal wellness. At our annual Back to School Health and Safety Fair, hundreds of families receive more than school supplies. In 2026, we distributed 1,400 backpacks in two locations (Miami and Homestead) and brought together 63 community partners to connect families with free wellness physicals, vaccinations, vision, hearing and dental screenings, EKG testing, CPR training, meals, and other essential resources. We also delivered a series of Senior Health Fairs, workshops, presentations and screenings by professionals in their fields to more than 415 seniors across the Miami-Dade and South Dade communities. Programs included cardiovascular and diabetes screenings, prevention and early detection education, cancer risk reduction for African-American men, HIV education and complementary HIV screening, and guidance on protecting important assets through homeownership, wills, and powers of attorney.
