Girls Inc. of Greater Miami

For 157 years, Girls Inc. has been providing evidence-based programs for girls using a 3-pillar approach: Healthy Living, Academic Enrichment and Life Skills. As the newest affiliate, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami we offer daily after school programs  at 5 school sites in Richmond Heights, Allapattah, Opa-Locka and Hialeah as well as a full time summer program. Our research based programs equip girls with the tools and resources to identify their inherent strengths, develop academic confidence and forge healthy relationships in a safe supportive space. 

Girls are innately powerful, and when given the support, they will grow up to advocate for themselves, their families and their communities. We invest in full-time qualified staff with backgrounds in education, social work and mental health and provide them with continuous professional development because that's what our girls deserve. We believe in the importance of providing strong, capable and intelligent role models to lead our girls daily at each school site. Our creative team offers energetic, structured programming that offers targeted life skills development, STEM and creative art. We regularly collect data to ensure that our programs remain engaging and that the girls are progressing in their skill development. 

We partner with local community organizations such as the Miami Heat Dancers, the FIU Women's Soccer Team, and Barry University to provide girls with access to a wide array of opportunities, conversations and resources. Our InspireHER Women's circle ensures our girls have access to diverse and inspiring role models as well.
