For 160 years, Girls Inc. has delivered proven, research-based programs that help girls grow up strong, smart, and bold through three foundational pillars: Healthy Living, Academic Enrichment, and Life Skills.

As one of the newest affiliates, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami is carrying that legacy forward by creating spaces where girls recognize their inherent strength and take charge of their futures.

We operate daily after-school programs at five school sites across Richmond Heights, Allapattah, Opa-Locka, and Hialeah, serving hundreds of girls each year. Through our partnership with The Children’s Trust, we offer more than 600 hours of free, high-quality programming during the school year — and a 6-week full-time summer camp that continues their growth, connection, and joy all year long.

We invest in full-time professional staff with expertise in education, social work, and youth development — because our girls deserve consistent, trusted adults who model excellence and empathy.Our staff receive continuous professional training in trauma-informed care, inclusion, and positive youth development, ensuring that every program is intentional, nurturing, and impactful.

Programs That Grow With Our Girls

Girls Inc. of Greater Miami provides a continuous pathway from elementary school through high school, ensuring girls have sustained mentorship and opportunities at every stage:

• Elementary School After-School & Summer Programs – Over 600 hours of academic support, life skills, STEM, creative arts, and health education each year

• Bold Voices (Middle School) – Public speaking and debate clubs that strengthen confidence, critical thinking, and civic engagement 

• Power Hour (High School) – A career development and readiness program offering mentorship, leadership training, and pathways to professional success

Expanding Horizons Through Community and Connection

Our girls experience the world beyond the classroom through community partnerships that open doors and build networks — from learning teamwork with the FIU Women’s Soccer Team, to mentorship with Barry University, to confidence-building workshops with the Miami Heat Dancers. Our InspireHER Women’s Circle connects girls with accomplished women leaders who share their journeys and model what’s possible — showing each girl that leadership comes in many forms, including her own.
