Since 2018, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami has grown from serving 20 girls to more than 700 across Miami-Dade County. The first girls who started with us are now in high school—preparing for college, careers, and leadership in their communities.

Where Girls Step Into Their Power

For 160 years, Girls Inc. has delivered proven, research-based programs rooted in three pillars: Healthy Living, Academic Enrichment, and Life Skills.

As one of the newest affiliates, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami carries that legacy forward—creating spaces where girls recognize their inherent power and take charge of their futures.

We operate daily after-school programs at five school sites across Richmond Heights, Allapattah, Opa-Locka, and Hialeah, serving hundreds of girls each year. Through our partnership with The Children’s Trust, girls receive more than 600 hours of free, high-quality programming during the school year—and a 6-week full-time summer camp that keeps their growth, joy, and connection going all year long.

Our Five Core Programs

1. Strong Girls After School (Elementary)A daily after-school program combining literacy, STEM, art, physical wellness, and social-emotional learning in a supportive, girl-centered environment. Girls strengthen academic confidence, friendships, and leadership skills while having fun.

2. Strong Girls Summer Camp (Elementary)A six-week summer experience that builds on the school-year program through field trips, creative projects, and wellness activities—keeping learning alive and friendships strong during summer break.

3. Bold Voices (Middle School)Speech and debate clubs that help girls find—and use—their voices. Through public speaking, civic engagement, and critical thinking, girls gain confidence to lead in their schools and communities.

4. Power Hour (High School)Career development and mentorship for the next generation of Miami’s workforce. Girls explore careers, connect with professionals, and build the skills to succeed—leadership, financial literacy, communication, and goal-setting.

5. Girls Inc. Connects (Countywide)A workshop series that brings Girls Inc. programming to schools and community partners across Miami-Dade—reaching even more girls through short-term sessions on leadership, STEM, confidence, and wellness.
