Amor Y Fuerza - Love & Strength

Amor Y Fuerza Honduras was founded in November 2020 by Martha and Maritza Hernandez, a mother and daughter team dedicated to improving the lives of those in need.

Core Pillars:

• Education and Support for Low-Income Schools (Miami):We are committed to enhancing educational experiences for students in low-income Miami schools by providing essential resources such as uniforms, toys, and school supplies. We also support these communities by covering food expenses for special events like Thanksgiving dinners, ensuring that students and their families experience joy and care.

• Aiding the Homeless Population (Miami):Our mission is to address the immediate needs of the homeless population in Miami by distributing essential items including food, clothing, and hygiene kits. We strive to contribute to their well-being and dignity, offering crucial support during challenging times.

• Enhancing the Lives of the Elderly (Honduras and Nicaragua):Through the 3ra Edad Program, we aim to improve the quality of life for the elderly in Honduras and Nicaragua. Our initiatives include providing necessities and hygiene items, as well as organizing entertainment events featuring music, food, and joy, fostering a sense of community and well-being among older adults.

• Revitalizing Rural School Environments (Honduras and Nicaragua):We are dedicated to improving educational opportunities in rural communities by supplying desks, boards, fans, and electricity to schools. Our efforts also include providing basic school supplies and enhancing school facilities to create a better learning environment for students in underserved areas.

• International Outreach and Expansion:As we continue to grow, we remain focused on extending our support to additional regions in need. By building strong, sustainable partnerships and addressing local challenges, we strive to make a meaningful impact globally. We are currently working with partners in Venezuela and are in the process of establishing connections in Peru.

Locally, we collaborate with other non-profits to maximize our impact within Miami-Dade County. Our annual toy drive distributes toys to children in Honduras, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Haiti, as well as to local foster care facilities, special needs centers, and Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, our year-round initiatives support the homeless with homemade meals and hygiene kits. We also assist the Guatemalan Indigenous community in the Redlands and support high school students through Back-to-School Collection Drives, providing essential supplies and personal items.

To sustain these efforts, we organize various fundraising activities. However, we frequently cover expenses such as shipping, purchasing items, and organizing events out of pocket. Your support is essential in helping us continue and expand these vital programs.
