Everglades Preparatory Academy

Everglades Preparatory Academy is a  public charter school dedicated to empowering students through academic achievement, character development, and extracurricular engagement. Our athletic department plays a vital role in fostering school spirit, leadership, and personal growth among our students.

As a growing program, we are seeking community support to expand access to sports for all students—regardless of financial background. Donations made through Give Miami Day will directly support:

• Uniforms and equipment for student-athletes across multiple sports
• Facility improvements to ensure safe and functional practice and competition spaces
• Transportation and competition fees to allow teams to participate in local and regional events
• Coaching and officiating costs to maintain high-quality athletic experiences
• Program development for new sports teams and inclusive opportunities

Dear Friends and Supporters,

At Everglades Preparatory Academy, we believe athletics are more than games; they are opportunities for growth, teamwork, and school pride. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to give our students the same athletic opportunities enjoyed by their peers in public and private schools.

While we receive some district funding, it only covers the basics. To truly compete and thrive, we depend on community support and fundraising. Over the years, many of our sports programs have quietly disappeared due to lack of resources. This year, we are determined to change that. We want to bring back the sports we’ve lost and rebuild a vibrant athletics program for our students.

Under the leadership of Ms. Donna Baggs, we’ve assembled the right team—dedicated coaches and staff who are ready to make this vision a reality. What we need now are the essentials: facilities, uniforms, equipment, and funding to sustain these programs.
