Miami Girls Rock Camp (MGRC) is a non-profit that provides young people joyous experiences with music, art & performance in a wildly supportive setting.

Our flagship program is a week-long summer day camp program for girls and non-binary youth aged 8 to 17. The program offers instrument instruction, songwriting/band practice, live performances by visiting artists/DJs, and workshops, culminating in a showcase concert. Campers receive two hours of instruction each day on selected instruments (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals), in semi-private groups organized by skill level and age. All classes are taught by local musicians and campers do not need prior musical experience.

In February of 2022, we introduced MGRC Youth Open Mic, a bi-monthly performance opportunity that welcomes all forms of self expression for all youth under the age of 25. At this event, youth from all over Miami-Dade and Broward share their talents, workshop new material, network, build community, and soak up the authentically supportive MGRC community magic.

We believe that youth are inherently powerful and their voices should be uplifted as often as possible. In service of this value, MGRC commits to cultivating spaces for young people to create, explore and grow together.
