Miami Girls Rock Camp needs you!

Hey everyone :) Thanks for showing up for Miami Girls Rock Camp on Give Miami Day. 

When I started this organization in 2015, I didn't realize the impact it would have on my community. It is wild to think about the amount of musical projects, bands, and original songs that would come out of the connections built at MGRC, and I couldn't be more proud of this work. I have seen our music community expand because of it. I have seen children grow through our program, discover who their authentic selves are while showing me a mirror to my own authentic self. This is powerful work and the only way it continues is with the help of our community. We create this!

Give Miami Day is our most important fundraiser of the year, as it determines a lot about how we will fund the 2024 season. Our organization has grown, and so have our expenses. Since our inception, we have consistently strived to limit all barriers for anyone coming to camp and as a result, no camper is turned away for lack of ability to pay. We fundraise to ensure that anyone who wants to experience this program can do so without having to jump through hoops to gain access and we also fundraise so that we can pay the people who sacrifice so much to do this amazing work. These people include our counselors, band coaches, teachers, visiting bands, workshop leaders, farmers, food team, year round organizers, sound engineers, open mic crew, etc...
