Miamibloco-Waking the Heartbeat of MIA thru Samba

Miamibloco is the 305's first Samba school and bloco, using all-ages large ensemble percussion to combat isolation and celebrate our city’s rhythms. 
We teach about the cultures behind our music, require no experience, and enable participants to play a musical part in building Miami's living culture through performances and community activations. Our members play alongside world-class musicians like: Munir Hossn, Alfredo Rodriguez, Mauricio Baia, Afrobeta, Electric Kif, Rose Max &  Ramatis Moraes.  Since 2017, our programs have reached thousands of students and audiences, fostering belonging and a deeper sense of community.
