Zoe's Dolls is the vision of now 16-year-old Zoe Terry. As a 5-year-old, Zoe was bullied for the color of her skin and her "puffy hair." After her mom and Godmother helped her understand she was beautiful, Zoe wanted to make sure little brown girls like her loved their own image as well, no matter what anyone said. With this mission in mind, Zoe founded Zoe's Dolls, an organization that focuses on girl empowerment and anti-bullying through a variety of programs and events that incorporate fitness, self-expression, community spirit, and empowerment. Zoe's Dolls ask family, friends and the community to donate new dolls of color to give out too little girls in need during the holiday. In her first-year Zoe gave out close to 150 dolls to little girls in Miami, Haiti and Zambia. Zoe has since expanded her company and now has a chapter in Atlanta, GA, Batesville, MS and Dallas, TX. Since starting Zoe's Dolls has given out over 50,000 dolls all over the world. Zoe has also expanded her organization to include 5 empowering programs. Those programs are Zoe's Dolls Girl Ambassadors, The Girl Fit Experience, Loving the Skin I'm In Creative Expressions Initiative, The Living Doll Experience, Love Letters to Black Girls and Girlpreneur.
