Youth Career Institute is actively involved in South Florida providing services to youth. Our partnership with Miami Dade County Public School's includes the Student Achievement Awards, in which students are recognized and rewarded for academic achievement, conduct, and attendance. The Rising Star Award is presented to students who show extraordinary improvement. Additionally, the Interclass competition for attendance helps students to focus on the merits of attending school regularly. The Attendance Trophy and goodie bags are awarded to the homeroom with the best attendance.
This Fall, we welcome our first group of high school students to The Mentoring Hour. During an hour of mentoring, youth will explore career pathways, hear from experienced career professionals, and get access to career resources.
