The Board of Directors of EatWell Exchange is a diverse team of professionals including accountants, physicians, a global analyst, a lawyer, and a registered dietitian, united by one shared goal: to create a future where every family has access to nutritious, culturally relevant foods and the knowledge to make healthier choices.

We each joined this board because we have seen the barriers our communities face. We have watched families struggle to afford groceries, neighborhoods lose access to fresh produce, and generations grow distant from the traditional foods that once connected them to health and heritage. We know that culture is not the problem; it is part of the solution.

EatWell Exchange bridges the gap between culture and health. Through hands-on cooking classes, nutrition education, and community food access programs, the organization empowers families to live healthier without giving up the foods they love. Since 2017, EatWell Exchange has reached more than 65,000 people across South Florida and beyond, meeting communities where they are and helping them make small, lasting changes toward better health.

This year, EatWell expanded its impact through senior culinary classes at multiple Miami parks, adult and community cooking programs, bilingual family culinary sessions in Little Haiti and Hialeah, and the Garden to Table program at Dunn’s Overtown Garden, a five-week series that brought together 13 families, from infants to seniors, to learn how to grow and prepare healthy meals.

All of these programs are free to the public, intentionally so, but they require resources to sustain. Each class, event, and partnership is made possible through community support.

As board members, we volunteer our time, skills, and expertise because we have seen firsthand how EatWell Exchange changes lives. But to keep this momentum going, we need your help. Your donation this Give Miami Day allows us to expand into more communities, provide ingredients and supplies for classes, and continue breaking down barriers to health equity.

When you give, you are not just supporting a program; you are helping build a future where health, culture, and community thrive together.
