MUTUAL AID

Mutual Aid: “Caring for Each Other Is How We Survive”

🧭 What Mutual Aid Is

Mutual Aid is a community lifeline. It is not charity, it is solidarity. It is the urgent support domestic workers receive from each other when the system fails them.

It means food when someone hasn’t eaten. A hotel room when someone is escaping abuse. A ride when someone needs to get to safety. Immediate help with dignity.

🎯 Our Mission

Provide fast, no-barrier support to domestic workers facing:

  • Labor trafficking

  • Wage theft

  • Violence or threats

  • Isolation or intimidation

  • Lack of food, transportation, or a safe place to stay

Mutual Aid lets us respond the same day a worker needs help.

💵 Impact per Donation

  • $25 = urgent food or transportation

  • $50 = medicine or essential hygiene items

  • $75 = safe transportation to court, a lawyer, or medical care

  • $100 = one safe hotel night for a woman escaping abuse

  • $250 = full support package (food, hygiene, medicine, transportation) for 3–5 days
