Supporting me on Give Miami Day allows Zoo Miami Foundation to provide educational programming throughout Miami-Dade County, participate in local conservation initiatives, and support Zoo Miami with critical funds for identified projects. Your Zoo Miami has become an icon of the community and one of the best zoos in the world, thanks to your generosity!

Your Support Saves

Bilbo, the subadult green sea turtle pictured here, was the 60th sea turtle to be released since Zoo Miami's Sea Turtle Hospital opened in June 2022. Bilbo spent a year under veterinary care after suffering a severe boat strike that resulted in several broken bones, serious carapace damage, and limited movement in her rear flippers.

Because of donations like yours, Zoo Miami is able to treat endangered sea turtles affected by boat strike, fishing line entanglement, fibropapillomatosis (FP), and more, and release them back to our native waters.

Your Support Educates

Each year Zoo Miami Foundation impacts thousands of children and families across Miami-Dade County. Boasting a 100% graduation rate, our Conservation Teen Scientist (CTS) program provides high school youth with life skills while also empowering them to appreciate wildlife and conserve it for future generations. CTS is 100% donor supported, making it completely free for participants.

Your Support Builds

Donors play a front-line role in transforming the zoo into a state-of-the-art conservation and animal welfare organization. This year, we opened Wild Connection, a new multi-use habitat that gives our animal ambassadors space to roam and engage with our visitors. Guests can now catch glimpses of our cheetah, serval, giant anteater, macaws, and more in their new home.
