As members of the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Greater Miami, we have seen firsthand how access to strong legal advocacy can change the course of someone’s life. Every day, Legal Services helps our neighbors protect their rights, overcome legal barriers, and move forward with greater stability.
For 60 years, Legal Services has provided free civil legal assistance to low-income communities throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Today, the organization serves more than 20,000 people each year—helping families remain safely housed, securing educational and therapeutic support for individuals with special needs, protecting veterans’ rights, and addressing many other civil legal needs.
This Give Miami Day, the Board of Directors is coming together to help carry this work into its next 60 years. Early giving begins November 14, and Give Miami Day is November 19.
