Celebrate Tim's 67th & Support YES Institute!

As I approach my 67th birthday this year, I find myself reflecting on life’s journey—from the wide-eyed child exploring wonder, to the adult passionate about creating change, to today: someone grateful for each sunrise, each friendship, and every chance to give back. This year, I’d like to mark my birthday a little differently. Instead of gifts, I’m inviting you to join me in supporting a cause that matters deeply to my heart.

For decades, the YES Institute in Miami has been a beacon of hope and strength for young people—especially youth facing extraordinary challenges. The Institute delivers education, bullying prevention resources, and creates empowering spaces for young people and families who haven’t always had an easy path.

This year, on the occasion of my birthday (Nov 27), I am launching a personal fundraising campaign through the annual community-wide event Give Miami Day— when the generous spirit of our region comes alive and lifts up more than a thousand nonprofits. For Give Miami Day I’ve set a goal that by my birthday, we will rally together to support YES Institute in strengthening the futures of young people who need it most, by raising $1,000.

Why am I doing this? Because I believe in the power of voice. And of possibility. I believe that every person deserves to feel empowered, seen and supported. I believe that when we invest in our young people—when we help build pathways, open doors, and create safe places—the ripple effect touches all of us.
