The iLab Startup Foundation Story

The iLab Startup Foundation was born out of a simple but powerful belief — innovation and opportunity should be accessible to everyone, not just a privileged few.

Founded in Miami, one of the most diverse and creative cities in the nation, iLab saw both the promise and the problem: brilliant ideas were everywhere, but too many local entrepreneurs — especially minority, women, and disadvantaged founders — lacked access to the training, capital, and networks needed to bring those ideas to life.

We set out to change that.

Through hands-on programs, technical assistance, and business mentorship, iLab helps small businesses launch, grow, and compete in today’s economy. From construction firms and tech startups to local service providers, we work at the intersection of innovation, equity, and community development — turning potential into performance.
