Fanm Saj Members Fundraiser Description

Purpose:

This fundraiser is a collective effort led by Fanm Saj members, youth leaders, and community healers to raise ongoing support for Fanm Saj’s programs that nurture leadership, healing, and justice in our communities.

Our Goal:

We’re raising funds to sustain Fanm Saj’s Youth Leadership Board, which trains young people in Restorative Justice Practices, Circle Keeping, Conflict Resolution, and Healing Modalities rooted in our cultural traditions.

These funds also help us expand our Community Circles, Mutual Aid, and Wellness programs that provide safety and care for families, women, and immigrants across Florida.

Why This Matters:

In times of uncertainty, isolation, and collective stress, Fanm Saj provides a space where people can come together — to be seen, to heal, and to build. This work helps us remember that we got us.

When you donate or fundraise, you’re helping to sustain a movement that centers Black, Brown, and immigrant healing, led by youth voices and community wisdom.

Kimani Personal Statement:

• Fanm Saj matters to me because we care. I care about my community and how we can heal without violence. This program taught me so much that I use it to my day to day life, from holding mini circles with my friends over arguements to helping a person with valuable knowledge learned at the circles. Rj circles take me far in life, thanks to Fanm Saj i've gained life skills to give back to my community. It's working out great, my most favorite and impactful circle was when I got the chance to speak on school to prison pipeline in New Orleans. That talk was beautiful and shed light on that topic. My most recent circle made me cry at the end because it symbolized me growing as a circle keeper. It was my first college Rj circle and it went wonderfully. 

• My Goal is $222 and more because holding Rj circles is my path. I have a gift and skill for understanding, uplfiting my community. Donating will allow me to provide the best circles in my area for the upcoming causes that are causing my community to be silent when we don't have to.
