Sarita for Miami Sound Space

Besides reading and writing, Miami Sound Choir is the thing I've stuck with the longest in my entire life — singing in this community choir and Threshold Singers has helped me expand my capacity for joy, consistency, bravery, curiosity, and LOVE.

Expression is our birthright as humans that come into this world kicking, screaming, and crying. It's an honor to sing life-giving music alongside so many beautiful humans that I now feel lucky to call my friends and family. 

Miami Sound Space runs 4 distinct choral programs:
1. Miami Sound Choir — an adult community choir
2. Threshold Singers — a small choir of bedside singers
3. The Bluebirds — a men's choir at Everglades Correctional
4. Lullaby & Life — a *brand new* singing group for parents and babies

It is entirely run by founder Laurah Merisier, her admin support Michelle, and a few handfuls of volunteers that set up the chairs we sing in, organize the events we spend quality time together at, write the newsletters that keep us connected, and so much more. In the last 5 years, hundreds of South Floridians have sung in the choir—all over Miami, and even New York City! Carnegie Hall babyyyyy
