Our Project: The Manes & Tales Trail

Miami 1, GMCC Leadership Miami Cohort 47, partnered with Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center to create the Manes & Tales Trail—a sensory and reading path that supports children and adults with disabilities as they build confidence, communication, and literacy skills.

With hands-on volunteer work, fundraising, and community support, our team transformed an unused space on the property into an inviting outdoor learning trail with sensory stations, reading corner, and a butterfly garden. This trail enhances Whispering Manes’ equine-assisted literacy program and offers participants a safe, joyful place to learn and grow.

On November 22, we’ll celebrate the official Ribbon Cutting, marking the completion of this meaningful community project.
