Hi, I'm Natalie Gonzalez, the Community Outreach Coordinator at Debris Free Oceans! 🌊
Debris Free Oceans is a Miami-based nonprofit that has empowered local communities to go zero-waste since 2014. A zero-waste system conserves resources and supports a circular economy through reduction, reuse, refill, repair, recycling, and composting. 🔄🌱
I’m fundraising because, while our team is small, we reach communities all across Miami and rely on your support to continue this work.
Beyond hosting beach cleanups and educating Miami about plastic pollution, we lead the Zero-Waste Miami Coalition, which unites over 100 local members through workshops and community events. We also run the Chef Andrew Scholar Program, which gives South Florida students hands-on experience in ocean conservation, sustainability, and community leadership.
