Mahoro for MGRC!

I have been a part of the MGRC community for a short two years.  I can say, confidently, that there are very few projects that have held and healed my heart the way they have. This year, in my role at camp, I got the chance to get to know each and every camper. And every single one blew me away. The incredible amount of talent, compassion, heart, and dedication that the campers discover in themselves and each other builds such a strong bond in such a short amount of time. What Steph, Heather, and all of the MGRC staff do is awe-inspiring. What the kids do, what they prove every year without fail, is something beyond verbalizing. It is a step toward a more beautiful world. One that can cultivate their talents the way MGRC does. They are the reason we must continue to heal ourselves and each other. 

This program needs our community's help. Our community needs this program. All the great work MGRC has done over the last decade and will continue to do, can and should be accessible to more youth of color, more low-income youth, more youth period! This isn't possible without the proper funds. With more money, MGRC could implement more scholarships, break down barriers such as transportation, and generally expand the accessibility of this wonderful program. This Give Miami Day, I implore you to join me in supporting MGRC's mission. I aim to raise $300 (or more!) for MGRC. The work they are doing is truly priceless but unfortunately, resources are not. So, give! Give what you can, share if you can't, and stay tuned... BIG things are coming!
