Bags of Hope: Nourishment for NICU Moms
When a baby is in the NICU, caregivers (mom, dad, grandparents) often spend long, exhausting hours at the hospital; sometimes forgetting to eat, sleep, or care for themselves. That’s where Touching Tiny Hands steps in.
Each Bag of Hope costs $315 and provides a NICU family with one week of dinners plus essential items that nourish their body, soothe their mind, and remind them they’re not alone.
Every bag includes:
- A voucher for one week of meals at a local restaurant. (so they don’t have to choose between eating and being by their baby’s side)
- TTH water bottle + snacks (bars, oatmeal, fruit, tea, lactation cookies)
- Reflection notebook, affirmation cards, coloring + word search books (to ease stress during long NICU hours)
- A children’s book (to bond with baby through reading)
- Self-care essentials (lotion, ChapStick, tissues, sanitizer)
- A cooler for safely storing pumped breast milk
- One mental well-being therapy session with a licensed therapist
