Empowering Miami Families with Hispanic Unity

Please join me in supporting Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) — an organization that has been changing lives in our community for over 40 years.

I joined HUF just a few months ago, and in that short time, I’ve been in awe of the people and families we serve AND equally inspired by the incredible team I get to work alongside every day. Every story of resilience, hope, and determination reminds me why this work matters.

I am so thankful to be part of an organization like this. When my parents immigrated to this country, I wish they had known about HUF. I can’t help but think how different our lives would have been if we had an organization like this in our corner.

In my role, I’m focused on expanding access to HUF’s programs for families across Miami-Dade County. 

HUF helps individuals and families not only get on their feet but truly THRIVE - below are some of the programs I am working on:

• Food Access – especially critical as we face lingering threats cut to SNAP benefits
• Free Tax Preparation for families through our VITA program
• Entrepreneur Support for those looking to start or grow their business with our Level UP Center.
• Citizenship & Immigration Services to help families achieve stability
• Career & Technical Education in partnership with Miami Dade College (my alma mater - Go Sharks!)
• Financial Coaching & Family Support to build long-term security, including buying their first home!

I have a deep love for Miami and believe that when our communities are supported, we all win.
