Miami-Dade County residents produce 2x more pounds of trash than the average American each day.

Luckily, organizations like Debris Free Oceans are doing something about this.

Debris Free Oceans is a local non-profit that educates and inspires local communities to responsibly manage the lifecycle of plastics and waste as part of a global initiative to eradicate marine debris from our beaches, reefs, and oceans.

Since 2014, Debris Free Oceans has made a real difference in Miami (and beyond), and I've been privileged to volunteer with their amazing team. This Give Miami Day, I'm raising funds to expand their mission, programs and impact. You can learn more about how awesome DFO is here.
