Supporting Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer Research at Mount Sinai Medical Center

This Give Miami Day, we're raising funds to continue our groundbreaking low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC) research program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

LGSOC is a rare form of ovarian cancer that disproportionately impacts younger women, often resulting in radical surgeries, infertility, and premature menopause. Yet there are no FDA-approved treatments specifically designed for this disease, making targeted research absolutely critical.

Our research at Mount Sinai is working to change that.

Your donations directly support our Research Fellow, Dr. Vivek Podder, MBBS, as he works alongside world-renowned gynecologic oncologist Dr. Brian Slomovitz to:

  • Develop and support new clinical trials specifically for LGSOC patients
  • Collaborate with the International Consortium for Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (ICLC)
  • Create streamlined pathways for patient participation in trials
  • Advance innovative treatment approaches for young women with LGSOC
