Inspire Tomorrow’s Nurses

Purpose:

Funds raised during Give Miami Day will be used to offset the cost of student leader attendance at our 2026 conferences. Every dollar donated will be matched.

Goal:

To provide pre-licensure nursing students with the opportunity to attend the statewide nursing conference. 

Student Leader Sponsorship Criteria

Eligible students must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a pre-licensure nursing student leader (actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program).

Required Application Materials:

1. Student Essay (1 page): Describe your journey in nursing, leadership experiences, and how attending this conference will contribute to your professional growth.

2. Letter of Recommendation: From a Dean, Chair, or Nursing Program Director supporting the student’s leadership and academic excellence.

3. Peer Recommendation: A brief endorsement from a fellow student highlighting leadership qualities and teamwork.

4. Academic Standing: Minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher (recommended).

5. Community Service: Demonstrated involvement in community outreach or service projects.

6. Healthcare Experience: Documented volunteer hours in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting.
