Black Alumni Society

The mission of the University of Miami Black Alumni Society is to facilitate a comprehensive network among University alumni, students, faculty, staff, family, and friends to advance the interests and needs of our community and promote the rich history of Black alumni at the University. 

Since its inception in 1989 by a group of dedicated alumni who identified a need to continue nurturing the success of the Black community within and beyond the University, the Black Alumni Society has awarded more than $452,000 to more than 175 undergraduate students with financial need (through fiscal year 2023).
