3 years in Miami and I am all in!

I'm a big supporter of the Commodore Trail and the plans that are in motion for its revitalization.

The Trail route runs through Coconut Grove, one of Miami's most beautiful neighborhoods. It's used by the Miami community for biking, walking, running, and so much more. The Trail runs along Biscayne Bay, passes parks, schools, and historic sites. It runs through the vibing center Grove and connects with the Cutler Trail in Coral Gables.

But the Trail as it is today is challenging to enjoy safely with its many starts, stops, potholes, tree roots, flood areas, narrow or non-existent sidewalks, lack of safe crosswalks, and narrow shared-use paths.

Friends of the Commodore Trail's community advocacy is the driving force behind Trail improvements happening over the next 5 years.

The first wave of Trail upgrades will focus on creating a safe route to schools.

These improvements will allow families to feel confident in encouraging children to use the Trail to ride and walk to and from the 11 schools along Main Highway. Kids will gain that little bit of confidence and independence and car drop-off lines/traffic will be reduced. Both priceless.

If you live in the Grove, use the Trail, or just want to help support something that I'm working hard on...support the Friends' efforts!!

Then come and walk the Trail with me!
