I fell in love with coral reefs when I was 14 and went SCUBA diving for the first time. That moment changed my life—and it’s been the greatest honor of my career to now lead an organization dedicated to protecting those reefs and the waters you love every single day.

As a young marine biologist, I spent countless hours studying our reefs and exploring the wild places that make Miami magical. But I also witnessed how pollution, neglect, and bad policy can threaten everything we treasure. That experience inspired me to dedicate my life to protecting the very heart of our community.

At Miami Waterkeeper, we fight every day for clean, resilient water across South Florida. With your support, we’ve strengthened national policy on nuclear power plant risk, challenged rules that would allow cancer-causing chemicals in our water, stopped massive sewage leaks, and worked to restore the reefs that first inspired me as a teenager.

This work has never been more important. Our waters—and our future—are under pressure from all sides. Whether you’ve supported us for years or you’re joining the movement today, know that every dollar you give helps us hold polluters accountable, restore coral reefs, and defend clean water for everyone.

Join me in protecting what makes Miami sparkle—our water.
