📢 Urgent Call for Support: Save M Ensemble Company’s,2026-27

KEEP THE CURTAIN OPEN 2027

An Urgent Call for Support of M Ensemble Company, Inc.

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Arts Advocates,

For more than five decades, M Ensemble Company has preserved African American history and culture through the performing arts, bringing powerful stories to the stage and enriching the cultural life of Miami-Dade County. Today, we are asking you to stand with us at a critical moment in our history.

Our 2027 season is at risk, and we need your help to keep the curtain open!

The loss of State of Florida arts funding, combined with delays and uncertainty in other public funding, has created a serious financial gap that threatens our ability to move forward with our proposed 2027 season. These funding challenges affect far more than our production schedule. They impact our ability to compensate actors and creative professionals, cover technical and production expenses, promote our performances, maintain essential facilities, and continue providing meaningful cultural and educational experiences for our community.

We are working diligently to overcome these challenges, but we cannot do it alone.

We invite you to help us launch our 2027 season by supporting our Kwanzaa Celebration on December 26, 2026, an important annual tradition that brings our community together through African American culture, music, dance, drama, and the principles of the Nguzo Saba. Your contribution will help us sustain this celebration and build the financial foundation needed to move forward with our upcoming theatrical productions, including Lady Day at the Emerson Bar & Gril while advancing our proposed 2027 season.

We urgently need to raise $20,000 to help bridge this funding gap and address essential expenses, including marketing, actor fees, technical production costs, costumes, and the financial obligations associated with maintaining our warehouse space. Without immediate support, we face the possibility of additional production delays, reduced programming, and even the cancellation of performances that our audiences and artists have been anticipating.

M Ensemble Company is more than a theatre company. We are a home for African American stories, a platform for talented artists, a resource for young people, and a vital part of South Florida’s cultural heritage. Every production we present preserves our history, celebrates our achievements, and creates opportunities for our community to experience the transformative power of live theatre.  M Ensemble is inclusive to the community at large

Your donation today can help protect this legacy tomorrow.

Whether you can give $25, $50, $100, $500, or make a leadership gift, every contribution brings us closer to our goal. We ask you to consider making an immediate donation and sharing this appeal with friends, family members, businesses, and colleagues who believe that African American theatre and cultural expression deserve to thrive.

We cannot allow temporary financial setbacks to silence the stories that must continue to be told. With your generosity, we can overcome these challenges, sustain our artists, preserve our cultural traditions, and keep the stage alive for the next generation.

Please join us in making “Keep the Curtain Open 2027” more than a campaign slogan. Let it be a commitment to the future of M Ensemble Company and the community we serve.

Give today. Stand with our artists. Preserve our legacy. Help keep the curtain open!

With sincere appreciation for your generosity and continued belief in our mission,

M Ensemble Company, Inc.
