Swimming is fundamental because it is a crucial life-saving skill that provides significant physical and mental health benefits. Swimming provides a full body, low-impact workout that builds strength, endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. Learning to swim boosts confidence, reduces stress, and helps with coordination and overall well-being.
Learning to swim is key to drowning prevention. In children, learning to swim also enhances self-esteem, cognitive skills, and fundamental movement skill development.
Swimming is a highly inclusive sport and we aim to increase access in our community to all ages, sizes, abilities, ethnicities, and socioeconomic levels.
