Since 1958, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami has served over 80,000 local youth, making a lasting difference across South Florida. I’m honored to be a Champion for this incredible organization this Give Miami Day! Big Brothers Big Sisters is dedicated to transforming young lives through the power of mentorship, creating life-changing connections that help youth unlock their full potential and achieve their dreams.

As a proud Impact Committee Circle Member and Big in the graduate program , my passion for this organization stems from meeting my little back in 2019 Jimaya. 

Jimaya graduated last year from Florida State University  as the first to attend university in her family. She was able to achieve this through a scholarship through Big Brother Big Sisters of Miami and the Monat Gratitude Foundation. Jimaya has now returned to Miami to work as a Lead Coordinator at the Overtown Youth Center.

My match with Jimaya was so powerful that I was called to serve again and was matched to my new little Dalis this past year. Dalis is a sophomore in high school who aspires to become a Lawyer. 

Every day, I witness the profound impact that caring volunteers have on our community, helping young people build confidence, explore new opportunities, and dream bigger.
